Case Study

Wildeboer automates intralogistics - efficiency, growth, real relief

Initial situation

Wildeboer is a family-run company based in Weener in East Frisia. Components for fire protection, air distribution and building systems technology are manufactured on a production area of over 60,000 square meters. With more than 350 employees, the company stands for precision, sustainability and a spirit of innovation.

In the course of continuous growth, the demands on internal logistics also increased. Wildeboer wanted to create a centralized, automated solution that would optimally combine production and shipping. The aim was a structured material supply, transparent processes and a future-proof basis for further growth.

A new logistics center with 10,500 square meters of space was built at the Weener site, which was designed for efficiency, flexibility and scalability right from the start.

Solution

Together with Unitechnik, Wildeboer implemented an integrated automation system that combines material flows, storage and transport in a scalable structure.

A three-aisle high-bay warehouse and an automated small parts warehouse form the heart of the system. Both warehouse areas are connected via modern conveyor technology and driverless transport systems.

The "goods to person" principle ensures short distances and ergonomic work processes. The UniWare warehouse management system controls all material movements, coordinates the conveyor technology and provides all process data in real time.

An automatic dispatch buffer consolidates orders and reduces transport volumes. The mobile system visualization enables flexible and location-independent monitoring of the system.

Wildeboer placed particular emphasis on future-proofing. All systems were designed in such a way that they can be modularly expanded and supplemented with additional functions.

This high level of scalability ensures that the logistics system can continue to grow with the company without changing existing processes.

The result is a powerful, networked overall system that combines efficiency, flexibility and transparency and gears Wildeboer's intralogistics towards long-term growth.

Technology and key figures
