Transport and storage solutions for flight kitchens

Unitechnik specializes in automated flight kitchens. These catering companies have the task of equipping every aircraft that takes off from the airport with carts. These are the slim roll containers that the stewardess pushes through the aisles of the aircraft. These carts are filled with food, drinks, duty-free items, blankets, headphones and much more. The carts of the landed aircraft are emptied, cleaned and refilled - each individually for the new flight. Up to 120,000 meals are provided each day

Large flight kitchens are equipped with an automatic transport system for carts. The carts are transported through the extensive facility on hangers.

Automatic small parts storage systems are used to manage the large variety and quantity of cutlery and crockery items. The containers are fed to the food counter via conveyor technology.
UniWare, the material flow and warehouse management system with integrated system visualization, monitors the entire material flow. By connecting external trades, UniWare becomes the control center for the entire system.
